Kubo On-Premise — for data that can't leave your building

Your own servers.
Real Kubernetes.
We handle the hard part.

Keep data that can't go to the cloud on your own servers. Hexabase takes on the heavy lifting of building and running the platform, while you stay in control — starting from a single existing server.

  • Data stays on your servers
  • Starts on one existing server — used hardware is fine
  • Fixed annual price, no usage billing

We start by understanding your current setup. No sales pitch.

Challenges

You want Kubernetes on-premise.
Something keeps getting in the way.

Between wanting it and being able to build and sustain it, there are a few walls.

The cloud isn't an option — or costs too much

Confidential and personal data can't be handed to a cloud provider, and usage-based bills are hard to predict. So you want it on-premise.

No one in-house can build Kubernetes

You don't have — and can't easily hire — people who can design and build a Kubernetes platform.

Owning it forever feels risky

Even if you can build it, can you keep up with upgrades, monitoring and security on your own, indefinitely?

Kubo On-Premise turns “we want to” into “we can build it — and keep it running.”

Use cases

Put your own servers to work.

Use them as a modern platform — without your data ever leaving the building.

Development and test environments

Keep verification clusters in-house instead of in the cloud. Code and data stay inside, and you can spin up disposable environments for each purpose.

A platform for private LLMs

Run AI on data you can't send outside. Training and inference data never leave your servers.

A home for internal systems

Consolidate scattered internal systems and business apps onto one standard Kubernetes platform, and make operations simpler.

Why Kubo On-Premise

The benefits, in numbers.

You keep control and your data. Hexabase takes on only the heavy part of operations.

8 coreson a single physical server, to start

Reuse existing servers, including used hardware.

No new hardware to buy, no upfront investment

Fixedannual price

No usage-based billing, so monthly costs don't spike.

Predictable budgets, easier approvals

Unlimitedclusters and nodes

Licensed by vCPU.

No renegotiating every time you scale

100%standard Kubernetes

No proprietary extensions — standard technology only.

No lock-in, no switching risk

Trust

Confidence you can check.

How your data is protected, what the platform is built on and what support we commit to — all spelled out.

Protected by design

Data physically stays on your servers. Architecturally, there is no path for it to leave.

Built on global standards

Kubernetes and OS from SUSE, Ubuntu from Canonical, virtualization by Proxmox — all CNCF-certified or from established vendors.

Compliant with international standards

A FIPS 140-2 compliant configuration, ready to show your security team and auditors.

Support, as a commitment

The Standard SLA commits to first-response times — S1 within 4 business hours.

Try before you decide

Validate it in your own environment with a PoC or trial before you adopt it.

Transparent pricing

A fixed annual price, with guideline prices published up front. No surprise invoices.

Access model

Running your platform doesn't mean seeing your data.

Even when Hexabase operates it, the data boundary stays clear.

What Hexabase never touches

  • Your business data — designed never to leave your premises or be accessed
  • Your credentials, and ownership of permissions

How our operational support connects

  • Outbound connections only — no open ports, no global IP address
  • Every operation passes an approval gate and is logged
  • You grant and revoke our access
Architecture

Standard parts, all the way down.

From physical servers to Kubernetes, nothing proprietary in between — only standard components. So you can inspect all of it, and move elsewhere if you ever need to.

Kubo

The management platform that ties together cluster creation, operations and monitoring. This is the part Hexabase supports.

RKE2

CNCF-certified Kubernetes with a FIPS 140-2 compliant configuration, for environments with strict requirements.

K3s

Lightweight Kubernetes for small-scale, edge and other resource-constrained environments.

SUSE Enterprise Linux / Ubuntu

The operating systems your clusters run on, both with long-term support.

Proxmox VE

Open-source virtualization that manages VMs and containers together.

OPNsense

An open-source firewall, so you manage your own perimeter.

Physical servers

From a single server with 8 physical cores. Existing and used machines are welcome.

Responsibility: applications — Hexabase / Kubernetes and OS — SUSE / Ubuntu — Canonical / virtualization — Proxmox. All standard technology, so you are never tied to one vendor.

Comparison

Side by side with the alternatives.

Every option has trade-offs. Kubo On-Premise is the one that delivers all five at once: data sovereignty, managed operations, a fixed annual price, standard technology and reuse of the servers you already have.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

If Hexabase runs operations, can you see our internal data?
Business data never leaves your premises, and the system is designed on the premise that we never access it. Operations go through an approval gate and are logged, and you control permissions.
Can we adopt it without a Kubernetes expert on staff?
Yes. Hexabase supports everything from design and build to upgrades, monitoring and security patches. You don't need a dedicated Kubernetes team to run a modern platform on-premise.
How do we know it's right for us?
It's built on global standards — SUSE, Canonical, Proxmox and CNCF-certified open source — with 100% standard Kubernetes, so there's no lock-in. You can validate it in your own environment with a PoC or trial before deciding.
Where is our data stored?
Entirely on your own servers. No copies are made in the cloud.
Can it meet our security requirements?
It supports a FIPS 140-2 compliant configuration, and runs safely in closed networks using outbound connections only.
Are our current servers enough?
It runs from a single server with 8 physical cores, and used servers can be repurposed. Tell us about your current setup first.
Can we move to another platform later?
Yes. It's 100% standard Kubernetes, so migrating is straightforward. There's no lock-in.

Get the facts together before you decide.
